Tomorrow will soon be yesterday

This will just be a quick note because I am STRESSED. Chelsey got to town yesterday, my grandpa and aunt Cindy get in today, Brittany gets married Saturday, I fly to UT Sunday and start work Monday. Really, that is just too much in ONE week. But I felt GUILTY for not writing more often. Thanks to all my wonderful friends who have been here for me in the past month. I am so GRATEFUL to have such amazing people in my life. I promise I will write more when I get to Halchita...I can't imagine I'll have much else to DO! Love....

Practically Perfect In Every Way

Today Heidi and Kristin fly into the Dulles airport! I am so excited to see them! Heidi is one of my bestest friends from American Fork and she always makes me feel so happy when she is around. Not to mention that there is never a dull moment when she is around.

I even get to go to NYC for a few nights and I get to see Mary Poppins (maybe the huge city will be just what I need to make me treasure living at a "stop in the road" in UT!!).

Yeah for good friends and plays about magical nannies!

Working is just another way of making a living

Yeah, so I got a job. On a Navajo reservation in southern UT. In a town with a population ranging somewhere from 88 to 110 depending on what website you look at. But hey...it's a job right? Plus they told me my interview was outstanding and flattery goes far with me!

I'm actually really excited, it feels like a whole new adventure and hopefully it will be an amazing one!

Here are some pics from the new place...

Sleeping Bag Fights

Tomorrow is the big day...Jessica and Matt get married after a full year of preparations! In honor of the upcoming nuptials, four of the fantastic five (does that make us the fantastic four or does that totally not work anymore?!?) decided to go old-school and have a sleepover. Too bad that we got so old in the mean time because our sleepover now ended with us all tucked safely away in our own beds. I guess the back of a 16 year old is much stronger than the back of a 26 year old!

Still, it was fun to be with old friends just talking the night away. I am so grateful for such amazing friends that have stayed a part of my life through distance and time. I can't wait for another phase to begin with all of us!

Sharks, Saint Bernards and Swimming

I hate job hunting...possibly as much as I hate spiders and ferris wheels. I don't know if there is anything as discouraging as hearing (yet again) that no one is hiring school counselors. Apparently the whole state of Maryland (and all the surrounding states) do not have a shortage.

In order to take my mind off of all the depressing things...I've been busy doing other things! Here's what I've done lately...

The Baltimore aquarium...in case you are wondering sharks have a top swimming speead of 25mph. When attacking prey a burst speed of 35mph is possible. In other words, if there was a huge expolsion and all the sharks and people in the aquarium were thrown into the Inner Harbor...us humans would have no way of swimming away from these guys. Scary.

Howard County Dog Show...I've never been to a dog show before but I will definitely go again. It was incredibly entertaining and who knew that people actually used a blow dryer to dry their pets fur? It was amazing.

Bon Ton...I've been shopping at this store about 6 times since I've been home. I like to think that I'm getting rid of all my stress by buying new cute shoes (especially since my mom has been paying!). I have to fill up my days somehow.

And the most exciting...Brunswick City Pool where I go to watch Joe at swim lessons or to sit out and sunbathe with the other women!

I actually have pictures but I'm having problems uploading. Watch for them, they'll be coming soon!
